There have been reports of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) patrols in various areas of Ramgarh in Khagrachari.
Locals said that around 10 a.m. on Tuesday (9 December 2025), a group of 15–16 BGB members from the Hatikheda BGB Camp traveled by pickup truck through Gorukata to the Morakoilya and Kalapani Para marketplace areas, where they stayed for a considerable period of time.
Later, the BGB personnel proceeded along the same road to the Bara Belchari Government Primary School, where they remained until 1:00 p.m.
It is reported that afterward they returned to the camp via Gorukata.
It is noteworthy that BGB and army patrol operations in Ramgarh have recently increased. Although these patrols are conducted in the name of security, ordinary people are often subjected to harassment and mistreatment. As a result, when BGB or army patrols take place, local residents are forced to live with fear.
