UPDF supporter killed by Borkha Party in Laxmichari

THE military-backed Borkha Party terrorists on Thursday, 1 November, killed a supporter of the United Peoples’ Democratic Front (UPDF) in Laxmichari of Khagrachari district.
 
The deceased has been identified as Rupayon Chakma, 20, son of Krishna Chakma, a resident of Bardona village under Dullyatoli Union.
He was kidnapped yesterday evening when he went to a village shop at Dullyatoli along with a friend.
 
His body was recovered in the morning today near a jungle path in Hajachari Mukh area.
 
‘We suspect that the attackers slit his throat with a knife’ a villager who saw the corpse told chtnews.com.
 
The Borkha Party, which also enjoys support from the Santu group, has killed 4 persons including UPDF leader Ruikhoi Marma and kidnapped 30 others since it was created in mid-2009.
 
The UPDF has condemned the killing of Rupayon Chakma and demanded that the government brings his killers to justice.
